Longnan County (Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province under the jurisdiction of the county) generally refers to Longnan
Longnan, a county-level city directly under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province, is administered by Ganzhou City. It is located in the southernmost part of Jiangxi Province with a total area of 1646 square kilometers. By the end of 2019, it had jurisdiction over nine towns, five townships and 107 village (residential) committees. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Longnan's permanent population was 319,166.

Longnan County was founded in the eleventh year of Baoda of the Southern Tang Dynasty (953), because the county was located in the south of Longtou Mountain (one hundred Zhangs Longtan, one hundred zhangs Longtan), it was named Longnan, which means "Longxing Lingnan". Longnan is the world capital of huts. There are 376 huts with different characteristics, accounting for more than 70% of the Hakka huts in southern Jiangxi. It has more than 40 kinds of proven mineral resources such as rare earth, tungsten, coal, limestone, marble, bentonite and iron ore, among which ion-type heavy rare earth reserves account for 70% of the world's proven reserves. In 2021, the GDP of Longnan reached 20011.185 million yuan, an increase of 9.3% over the previous year based on comparable prices.
