Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, commonly known as Mongolian Zhen, is a county under the jurisdiction of Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the northwest of Liaoning Province, in the north central part of Fuxin City, adjacent to 8 counties (cities) and banners, and located in the southern edge of Horqin Sandy Land. The terrain is mainly low mountains and hills. It has a temperate semi-arid continental seasonal climate, with a total area of 6246.2 square kilometers. As of October 2021, the county has jurisdiction over 1 street, 32 towns, 3 townships and 1 township level unit. According to the data of the seventh national population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, there were 545749 permanent residents.
In the second year of Chongde in the Qing Dynasty (1637), Tumet Left Wing Banner was set up in the county; In the 29th year of Guangxu (1903) of the Qing Dynasty, Fuxin County was established, coexisting with Tumet Left Banner, and implementing the division of Mongolia and Han; In April 1958, Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County was officially established; In January 1959, it was put under the leadership of Fuxin City. The main scenic spots in Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County include Haitang Mountain Scenic Area, Ruiying Temple, Mongolian Zhen Manor, Baoligan Temple, Maoling Valley, and Fuxin Baodi Spa Hot Spring Resort. On November 16, 2020, Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County was selected into the "2020 China's Most Beautiful County List". On December 22, 2021, Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County was selected as one of the "sixth batch of demonstration counties (cities and districts) that took the lead in basically realizing the whole process mechanization of main crop production in China".
