Geze County belongs to the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the northwest of Tibet, the eastern part of Ngari Prefecture and the hinterland of the Northern Tibet Plateau. It borders Shuanghu and Nyima County of Naqu City on the east, Cuoqin County on the southeast, Zhongba County of Xigatse City on the south, Geji and Ritu County on the west, and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on the Kunlun Mountain to the north. It is 450 kilometers long from east to west and 670 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 135,580 square kilometers.
