Huidong County, under the jurisdiction of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province and the east of Huizhou City. It is on the south side of the Tropic of Cancer, bordering Haifeng County in the east, Zijin County in the north, Huiyang District in the west, and Daya Bay and Red Bay in the South China Sea in the south. It belongs to a coastal mountain county, and the Xizhijiang River, a tributary of the Dongjiang River, flows through the county from northeast to southwest.
