Jingyan County, affiliated to Leshan City of Sichuan Province, is located in the southwest of Sichuan Basin, between 102°55 '~104°00' east longitude and 28°25 '~29°55' north latitude. The total area of the county is 840 square kilometers. Jingyan County belongs to the subtropical humid climate zone of Sichuan Basin, the climate is warm and humid, rain in the same season, abundant rainfall, but uneven distribution, winter without cold, summer without heat, sunshine slightly lack, cold and hot four seasons, dry and wet two distinct. As of 2018, Jingyan County has jurisdiction over 27 townships. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Jingyan County had a permanent population of 280,641.

It is now exhibited in the Beijing Museum of Natural History, and there are national cultural relics protection units such as Sanjiang White Pagoda, Leichang former Residence scenic spot, Xiong Kewu former residence, Big Buddha Lake, Horse Step down Stone Bridge, Zhu Family Festival and filial piety Fang.
In 2020, the current regional GDP of Jingyan County reached 1,295,204 million yuan, an increase of 3.8 percent over the previous year based on comparable prices.
