Junlian County, located in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is located in the south edge of Sichuan Basin, the Junlian County in the north foot of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau intersecting part of Sichuan-Yunnan Province. It was an important post station on the South Silk Road in the old time, and it's an important portal to get out of Sichuan into Yunnan Province today. Bordered by Yanjin, Yiliang and Weixin in Yunnan Province and adjacent to Gaoxian and Gongxian counties, the county is located between 27°50 '37" -- 28°14' 28" north latitude and 104°17 '45" -- 104°47' 20" east longitude.
