Lingshan County, under the Qinzhou City of Guangxi, is located in the south of Guangxi, the northeast of Qinzhou City, close to Beibu Gulf, is the sub-center of Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic zone and the sub-central city of Qinzhou, the county is more than 100 kilometers away from Nanning, Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Yulin and Guigang, forming an economic circle of one and a half hours with six cities, and 500 kilometers away from Guangzhou. It is the famous hometown of lychee in China, the hometown of milk buffalo in China, the hometown of snake raising, the hometown of famous tea in China. In addition, Lingshan County is also the hometown of fruit, aquatic products and fish and rice. The total area of the county is 3558 square kilometers, with 17 towns, two streets, 389 village committees and 20 communities. According to the seventh census, the permanent population of Lingshan County was 1,218,140 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

In 2021, the GDP of Lingshan County reached 32.425 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1%.
Lingshan County is located in the northeast of Qinzhou City, the core coastal industrial city of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, by the bank of Qinzhou Bay in the south of Guangxi, adjacent to Hengzhou City in the north, Hepu County of Beihai City in the south, Pubei County in the east, and Qinnan and Qinbei County in the west. Lingshan County has a long history. It was founded in Nanbin County in the 18th year of Emperor Kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (AD 598). Tang Zhenyuan ten years (AD 794) renamed Lingshan County, because the county has West Lingshan (now known as the six peaks mountain) and named. Originally from Guangdong Province, in 1965 into Guangxi, now belongs to Qinzhou City. The city has entered the ranks of medium-sized cities.

In October 2017, it was named the National Garden County by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
In November 2019, it was selected into the second batch of water-saving social construction standard counties (districts).
