Lingwu City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and administered by Yinchuan City. It is between 106°11' ~ 106°52 'east longitude and 37°35' ~ 38°21 'north latitude. It is located in the middle of Ningxia Plain and east bank of Yellow River. It is connected to Yanchi County in the east, Litong District and Hongsi District of Wuzhong City in the south, Yongning County across the river in the west, and Otok Front Banner in the north with the Ming Great Wall as the boundary, with a total area of 4010 square kilometers. Lingwu was called Lingzhou in ancient times. Western Han Dynasty, set Lingzhou County. In the twelfth year of Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1873), Jinji Fort in the south of Lingzhou was precipitated into Ningling Hall, Tongxin Fort and Hongsi Fort were precipitated into Pingyuan County, and Huamachi sub-prefecture (now Yanchi County) into Salt Capture Hall.
