Linxia County is a county under the Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, which is a large population county and agricultural county in the whole prefecture. By 2019, it has jurisdiction over 25 townships (16 townships, 9 towns), 218 administrative villages, 4 neighborhood committees, and 9 ethnic groups including Han, Hui, and Dongxiang. Linxia County is located in the central part of Gansu Province, in the southwest of Linxia Prefecture, bordering Linxia City, Dongxiang County and Hezheng County in the east, Gannan Prefecture Hezuo City and Xiahe County in the south, Xunhua County in Qinghai Province in the west, Jishishan County in the northwest, and Yongjing County across the river in the north.
