Loufan County is under Taiyuan City of Shanxi Province. Located in the northwest of Taiyuan City, the hinterland of Luliang Mountain, the middle and upper reaches of Fenhe River, 97 kilometers away from Taiyuan, the provincial capital, between 111°31 '-- 112°02' east longitude, 37°51 '-- 38°13' north latitude. Bordering on Gujiao in the east, Fangshan in the west, Jiaocheng in the south, Jingle in the north and LAN County in the northwest, Taiyuan is a key county for poverty alleviation and development integrating mountainous areas, old areas and reservoir areas.
