Minle County, subordinate to Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Zhangye City, bordering Shandan County and Yongchang County in the east, Qilian County and Menyuan Hui Autonomous County in Qinghai Province in the south, Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in the southwest, and Ganzhou District, Zhangye City in the west and northwest, with an area of 3687.32 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Minle County has jurisdiction over 10 towns and 1 industrial park. By the end of 2021, Minle County has a permanent population of 190700.
Minle County is the "hub" connecting Gansu Province and Qinghai Province, and has been the "throat" of the southern line of the eastern section of the Silk Road since ancient times. 5000 years ago, there were ancestors living here. Xia, Shang and Zhou belong to Yongzhou. In the Spring and Autumn Period, the Warring States Period and the Qin Dynasty, the Yue family lived there. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Dongle County was established. On December 16, the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), Dongle County was changed to Minle County. On July 29, 2020, Minle County was named "National Health County in 2017-2019 Cycle" by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
