Nanpi County, subordinate to Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, is an open county approved by the State Council. It is located in the southeast of Hebei Province, 35 kilometers away from Cangzhou, with a total area of 800 square kilometers. According to the data of the seventh census, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Nanpi County is 347473.

Nanpi County belonged to Yanzhou in ancient times. In the Yin and Shang Dynasties, the ancestors of Nanpi had built two sister cities in the north and south. In the Spring and Autumn Period, Duke Huan of Qi saved Yan from attacking Shanrong in the north and repaired the leather in the southern city, so it was named Nanpi. Nanpi County was set up in the Qin Dynasty, which is the only ancient county in Cangzhou City whose name has not changed since the Qin Dynasty. Beijing Shanghai Railway, Beijing Shanghai Expressway, Beijing Shanghai High Speed Railway, Beijing Taiwan Expressway, Handan Huanghua Railway, National Highway 104, Wuqian Road, Zhenggang Road and other national and provincial trunk roads pass through the territory. Celebrities include Zhang Zhidong, Zhang Zhiwan, Huo Diange, Liu Xikui, Jia Dan, etc. As of May 2020, Nanpi County has jurisdiction over 7 towns and 2 townships; 312 administrative villages.

In October 2017, Nanpi County passed the special national assessment and inspection, and was officially approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province to exit from the poverty-stricken county. In 2020, the GDP of Nanpi County will reach 10.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
