Pengze County, subordinate to Jiujiang City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the northernmost part of Jiangxi Province, the junction of Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a total area of 1544 square kilometers. According to the seventh census, the permanent population of Pengze County was 284,757 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.
