Qijiang District (Qijiang County) is subordinate to Chongqing City, located in the south of Chongqing City, at the junction of the southeast of the Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and the Chengdu-Chongqing double-city economic circle. Qijiang District connects Nanchuan District in the east, Xishui County and Tongzi County in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province in the south, Jiangjin District in the west, and Banan District in the north, covering an area of 2747 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 7 streets, 24 towns (by the end of 2019), 365 administrative villages and 90 communities.
