Qingxin county/District, subordinate to Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwest of Guangdong Province, in the middle and lower reaches of the Beijiang River, adjacent to Yingde and Qingcheng District in the east, Guangning and Sihui in the west, Yangshan in the north, and Qingcheng District in the south. 107 National Highway, Qinglian Expressway, Qingsi Class I Highway, Qingfo Highway, etc. are connected. With a total area of 2353 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 8 towns and 1 forest farm. In January 1988, Qingyuan County was abolished and Qingyuan City was established. The original Qingyuan County was divided into two county-level districts, namely, Qingcheng District and Qingyuan Suburb. On June 13, 1992, the suburbs of Qing Dynasty were abolished and Qingxin County was established. Its administrative divisions remained unchanged, and the county people's government was stationed in Taihe Town. On November 15, 2012, Qingxin County was abolished and Qingyuan Qingxin District was established. Qingxin District People's Government is located at No. 3, Fuqian Road, Taihe Town.
The north of Qingxin District is a typical limestone mountain area, the middle is a low mountain area, and the south is mainly plain. The highest peak is at the top of Pingkeng between Longjing Town and Jintan Town, with an altitude of 1181 meters. The region is close to the Tropic of Cancer and belongs to the typical subtropical monsoon climate zone. There is no severe cold in winter and no extreme heat in summer. The climate is mild. The annual average temperature is 20 ℃ - 22 ℃, and the frost-free period is more than 330 days. It is rich in rainfall, one of the three high rainfall areas in Guangdong Province, with an average annual rainfall of 2139 mm. There are 12 main and tributaries with a catchment area of more than 100 square kilometers, including Beijiang River, Binjiang River and its tributaries Qinhuang River and Weiquan River, all of which belong to the Pearl River basin and Beijiang River system.
