Qingyang County

Qingyang County in the southwest of Shanxi Province, Qingyang County is subordinate to Hanzhong City of Shanxi Province. It is located at the border of Shanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces. It borders on Mian County and Ningqiang County in the southeast and Kangxian County, Cheng County and Hui County in Gansu Province in the northwest. The total area is 2831 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts and 15 towns.

According to Records of Reconstructing Yongzheng County in Qing Dynasty, the local people "have both the pronunciation of Southern Beijing Language and Culture University and resemble Qin and Shu", which have accumulated the local customs and people's feelings with the local characteristics of Shanxi, Gansu and Sichuan. In 2008, it was named the experimental area of Qiang cultural ecology protection by the Ministry of Culture.
