Shenchi County, Xinzhou City Xian Xian. It is located in the Loess Plateau in the northwest of Shanxi Province. It spans between 111° -- 112°18 'east longitude and 38°56' -- 39°24 'north latitude. The jurisdiction covers an area of 1,472 square kilometers. It was founded in the Spring and Autumn Period and has a long history. The Great Wall is adjacent to Shuozhou in the northeast, Ningwu County in the southeast and south respectively, Wuzhai County in the west, and most of Pianguan County and part of Pinglu District in the north. Shenchi County is a typical agricultural county, and its income mainly comes from planting and breeding. Township enterprises and the industrial base are weak. The main products are coal, cement, bauxite, etc.
According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Shenchi County had a permanent population of 75,757.

On September 25, 2018, it was awarded the honorary title of "2018 E-commerce into Rural Comprehensive Demonstration County" by the Ministry of Commerce. On April 18, 2019, the People's Government of Shanxi Province approved the withdrawal of Shenchi County from the poverty-stricken county.
In July 2020, Shenchi County was confirmed as the National Health County in 2019 by the National Health Care Committee.

In 2019, Shenchi County achieved regional GDP of 3103.45 million yuan, added value of the primary industry of 1192.06 million yuan, added value of the secondary industry of 426.77 million yuan, general public budget revenue of 169.08 million yuan, general public budget expenditure of 125.54 million yuan.
