Songpan County

Songpan County is a county under the jurisdiction of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. Located at the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the northeast of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, with an administrative area of 8486 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 7 towns and 10 townships, and the county people's government is stationed in Jin'an Town. According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Songpan County was 66937.

Songpan County is a national cultural and ecological protection area with a long history. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, "Songzhou Wei", "Panzhou Wei" and "Songpan Wei" were successively set up, hence the name of Songpan. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the Songpan Zhili Office was changed to Songpan County, and the county-level structure has been used since. The transportation in Songpan County is developed, and the west line of the "Ninth Ring Road" runs through the county along the Minjiang River. Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport is only 25 kilometers away from the county seat in the south. The natural landscape is complex and diverse, with complete categories and a large number. It has scenic spots such as Huanglong, Munigou and Songpan Ancient City.

On April 28, 2019, the People's Government of Sichuan Province decided to withdraw Songpan County from the poverty line. In 2020, Songpan County achieved a local GDP of 2.595 billion yuan, up 2.3% year on year.
