Taibai County, subordinate to Baoji City of Shanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Baoji City. It borders Mei County, Zhouzhi County and Foping County in the east, Yang County and Liuba County in the south, Liuba County and Feng County in the west, and Weibin District, Chencang District and Qishan County of Baoji City in the north, covering an area of 2780 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Taibai County has jurisdiction over seven towns. By the end of 2021, Taibai County has a permanent population of 39,600.

Taibai County, because of the territory of the main peak of the Qinling Taibai Mountain named. In the Neolithic Age, there were ancestors here to multiply and live. During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the genus was located in the north, Chencang County in the northwest, and Wugong County in the northeast. In the Qing Dynasty, Baoji County was in the northwest, Foping County in the southeast, Qishan County in the northeast and Feng County in the southwest. On August 22, 1961, Taibai County was established under the jurisdiction of Baoji Special Area. August 1, 1980, under the jurisdiction of Baoji City. On October 9, 2020, Taibai County was named as the fourth batch of national demonstration cities and counties for ecological civilization construction by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

In 2021, the GDP of Taibai County reached 4.5471 billion yuan, and the per capita disposable income of residents reached 21,852 yuan.
