Tiandong County is located in the west of Guangxi, in the abdomen of Youjiang River Valley and Youjiang Basin. Youjiang River runs through it from west to east, connecting Pingguo City in the east, Debao County and Tianyang District of this city in the west, Tianet County in the south, and Bama Yao Autonomous County in the north. The county covers a total area of 2816 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 10 towns and 1 township 167 administrative villages (streets, communities), is a Zhuang nationality as the main body of the multi-ethnic settlement county. The territory resembles a giant mango, which coincidentally is named "the Hometown of Mango in China". According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Tiandong County was 352,007.
