Tianjun County belongs to Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. It is located in the northeast of Qinghai Province, west of Qinghai Lake, south foot of Qilian Mountain, east of Qaidam Basin, adjacent to Qilian County and Gangcha County in the east, Gonghe County and Wulan County in the south, Delingha City in the west, and Subei Mongolian Autonomous County in Gansu Province as the border in the northwest.
