Xiuwen County is located in the central part of Guizhou Province, under the jurisdiction of Guiyang City. It is located at 26°45 '~ 27°12' north latitude and 106°21 '~ 106°53' east longitude. It is bordered by Wudang District in the east, Baiyun District in the south, Maotiao River and Qingzhen City as the boundary, Qianxi and Jinsha counties in the west across the Liuguang River, and Xifeng County in the north.
