Yijun County, under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan City, Shanxi Province, is located in the central part of Shanxi Province, north of Tongchuan City, Guanzhong plain and northern Shanxi Loess Plateau junction. The county is 120 kilometers south of the provincial capital Xi 'an, 27 kilometers north of Xuanyuan Huangdi Mausoleum, with a total area of 1531 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 1 subdistrict, 6 towns and 1 township.

Yijun County because of the summer suitable for the king named, is a revolutionary old area. With a forest coverage rate of 54.27%, it is known as the largest "green lung" in the north of Qinling Mountains. The territory includes Xuanzang's planting of Sailuo tree, Pengzu's hometown, Northern Wei grottoes Group, Jiangnv Spring, Yunmeng Mountain, the Great Wall of Warring States Wei, dry farming terraces, Fudi Lake, Animation Flower Valley, etc. It is one of the birthplace of Yangshao culture, the red revolutionary old area where Yanmen Brigade is active, and the "Town of modern Chinese folk painting".
