Yongshan County

Yongshan County, subordinate to Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province. Xiluodu Hydropower Station, the second largest hydropower station in China and the third largest in the world, is located. In 1727, the governor of Yungui, Ertai, wiped out Pingmitie, and the county was named "Yongshan" by the court, meaning to obey discipline forever. The east-west horizontal distance is 46.6 kilometers, the north-south vertical distance is 121.2 kilometers, and the area is 2778 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Yongshan County is 349157. The county government is located in Xiluodu Town, 680 kilometers away from the provincial capital Kunming in the southwest and 200 kilometers away from Zhaoyang District, where the Zhaotong Municipal Government is located in the south.

It is located at the northwest edge of Zhongshan Mountain in northeast Yunnan. The plateau is relatively broken due to the cutting of Jinsha River and its tributaries. The highest altitude is 3199.5 meters, and the lowest altitude is 340 meters. The main rivers are Jinsha River, Huixi River, Damaotan River, Jingdi River, Longchong River, etc. It belongs to the humid climate zone in the middle subtropical zone. Due to the great difference in altitude, the vertical climate changes significantly. The average annual temperature is 16.4 ℃ and the average annual precipitation is 666 mm. On May 17, 2020, it officially withdrew from the poverty county sequence.

In 2020, the GDP of Yongshan County was 13.962 billion yuan, an increase of 4.098 billion yuan and an average annual growth of 5.6% over 2015; The local general public budget revenue reached 759 million yuan, an increase of 316 million yuan over 2015, with an average annual growth of 11.3%. The total investment in fixed assets above local scale was 13.369 billion yuan, a net increase of 6.031 billion yuan over the "12th Five-Year Plan". The total retail sales of consumer goods reached 1.639 billion yuan, an increase of 482 million yuan and an average annual growth of 7.2% over 2015. The per capita disposable income of urban permanent residents reached 28573 yuan, an increase of 8411 yuan and an average annual growth of 7.2% over 2015. The per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents reached 11148 yuan, an increase of 4027 yuan and an average annual growth of 9.4% over 2015. In August 2021, it was selected as the national key county for rural revitalization.
