Yuanyang County belongs to Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It is located in the North Henan Plain, facing the Yellow River in the south, and the Yu River Channel in the north. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The landform belongs to the Yellow River alluvial plain, bordering Fengqiu in the east, Wuzhi and Huojia in the west, Xinxiang and Yanjin in the back, and Zhongmu and Zhengzhou across the river in the south. The county has jurisdiction over 4 towns, 8 townships and 2 offices (including Yuanwu Town, Qiaobei Township, Zhulou Township and Longyuan Neighborhood Office entrusted to Xinxiang Pingyuan New Area Management Committee), with a total area of 1022 square kilometers. Yuanyang was called Bolangsha in ancient times, and it is famous for Zhang Liang's role as the governor of Qin Dynasty. From the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty, there were 13 famous historical figures who served as prime ministers. There are ancient sites where Zhang Liang stabbed the Qin Dynasty, Xia Family Courtyard, a well preserved folk house in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties with national style, as well as scenic spots and historic sites such as Chen Ping Temple, Zhang Cang Tomb, Mao Sui Tomb, and Linglong Tower.
