Zhaoping County is under the jurisdiction of Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. It is located in the eastern part of Guangxi and the middle reaches of the Guijiang River. It covers an area of 3,273 square kilometers, between latitude 23°39 '-- 24°24' north and longitude 110°34 'to 111°19' east, bordering Palbu District of Hezhou City in the east, Mengshan County of Wuzhou City in the west, and Cangwu County of Wuzhou City in the southeast. It borders Teng County in Wuzhou City in the southwest and Lipu City, Pingle County and Zhongshan County, Hezhou City in the north. According to the seventh census, Zhaoping County had a permanent population of 330,116 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

Zhaoping County has been awarded the title of National Civilized Town, "Civilized County" in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and won the "Excellent City" award in the "Nanzhu Cup" competition of Guangxi City Appearance for two consecutive years, and was awarded the model county of social security governance in the whole region for five consecutive years. In 2019, Zhaoping County's GDP reached 8.857 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%.
On October 22, 2018, it was selected into the list of leading areas for the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in the country in 2018. On November 14, 2019, Zhaoping County was named the third batch of national demonstration counties for ecological civilization construction by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. On May 9, 2020, it was approved by the People's Government of Guangxi Autonomous Region to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county list.
