Yichun, also known as Lindu or Lincheng, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province. Approved by The State Council, Yichun is an important eco-tourism city in north China and a central city in northeast Heilongjiang Province. Yichun has jurisdiction over 4 municipal districts, 5 counties and 1 county-level city with a total area of 32,759 square kilometers.

Yichun is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province. It starts from Xingifun, Shuangfeng Town, Tili City, to Jiayin Estuary, Jiayin County in the west, starts from Pinglizi Mountain, Forestry Bureau of Lang Township, and ends at Changsheng Town, Jiayin County in the north. It is adjacent to Hegang and Jimusi in the east, bordering Harbin in the south, adjoining Heihe and Suihua in the west, and facing Amur Prefecture and Judea Prefecture of Russia in the north. The boundary River is 245.9 kilometers long.

Yichun has a long history, is a multi-ethnic scattered border city. Before the Tang Dynasty, it was a place for ethnic minorities in northern Xinjiang to work and live. Tang, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties exercised jurisdiction here.
In 2021, the GDP of Yichun reached 31.869 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 7.3%. By the end of 2021, the city has a permanent resident population of 850,000.
