Langfang, a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, is located in the east of the central part of Hebei Province, bordering Beijing in the north, Tianjin in the east, Cangzhou in the south, Baoding in the west, and the core area of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei urban agglomeration and the hinterland around the Bohai Sea; It has jurisdiction over two districts, two county-level cities and six counties, with a total area of 6429 square kilometers. In Langfang, Zhang Hua, a litterateur of the Western Jin Dynasty, Wang Zhihuan, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, Lv Duan, a famous prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Xun, a litterateur of the Song Dynasty, Shi Tianze, a famous prime minister of the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Liu and Liu Qi, leaders of the peasant uprising of the Ming Dynasty, emerged.

In 2021, Langfang will achieve a GDP of 355.31 billion yuan, up 6.6% year on year.
