Neiqiu County, under the jurisdiction of Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Hebei Province, with Xiangdu District, Xindu District and Renze District in Nantong, Longyao County in the east and Lincheng County in the north. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate, with a total area of 787 square kilometers. As of June 2021, it has jurisdiction over 5 towns and 4 townships. By the end of 2020, the total registered residence population of Neiqiu County is 297504.
Neiqiu County was the territory of Xing in the Western Zhou Dynasty, Zhao in the Jin State in the early Spring and Autumn Period, and Zhongqiu County was established in the Western Han Dynasty. At the beginning of the Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty, Zhongqiu County was changed into Neiqiu County to avoid the name of Yang Zhong. In 1993, Xingtai City merged with Xingtai District and governed Neiqiu County. Neiqiu County is connected to the "five major transportation arteries" of National Highway 107, Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway, Beijing Guangzhou Railway, Shijiazhuang Wuhan High speed Railway, Xingshi Avenue, Taihang Mountain Expressway and Provincial Highway 328. Neiqiu County has successively won the honorary titles of "National Model County for Greening", "National Advanced County for Ecological Civilization", "National Advanced County for Scientific and Technological Progress", "National Advanced County for Civil Affairs", "National Model County for Land and Resources Conservation and Intensification", etc. On December 13, 2018, it was selected into the list of agricultural product advantage areas with Chinese characteristics. In March 2019, it was listed in the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area and county list.
