Cang County, subordinate to Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Hebei Province and the east of the Central Hebei Plain. It borders Hejian City and Xian County in the west, Qingxian County in the north, Huanghua City in the east, Mengcun Hui Autonomous County in the southeast, Nanpi County and Botou City in the south, with a total area of 153300 hectares. In 2020, Cangxian County will have a total population of 734,300. There are 27 ethnic minorities, 29100 people, accounting for 3.97% of the total population of the county. As of October 2021, Cang County has jurisdiction over 7 towns and 12 townships. The county government is located in Xinhua District, Cangzhou City.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Fuyang County was established. In 1961, Cangxian Chengguan People's Commune was set up as Cangzhou City. In November 1983, Cangxian County was under the jurisdiction of Cangzhou City. It has won the title of "Home of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts", "Revolutionary Cultural Relics Protection and Utilization Area and County", and "National Farmers Cooperative Quality Improvement Pilot Unit for the Whole County".
In 2021, Cangxian's GDP will be 25.12 billion yuan, an increase of 8%. The optimization of the three industrial structures was 11.1:38.7:50.2, and the service industry contributed 55% to economic growth. The general public budget revenue was 1.5 billion yuan, up 8.1%. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents is expected to reach 41679 yuan and 19544 yuan, up 7.6% and 10.7% respectively.
