Guxian, subordinate to Linfen City, Shanxi Province. Located in the northeast of Linfen City, the south foot of Taiyue Mountain, the middle and upper reaches of Fenhe River and Jianhe River, it is adjacent to Anze in the east, Hongdong in the west, Yaodu and Fushan in the south, and Huozhou and Qinyuan in the north. Guxian County jurisdiction 4 towns 3 townships, 6 communities 73 administrative villages, a total area of 1206 square kilometers. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Guxian county was 79,816.

Guxian is the hometown of Lin Xiangru, with famous scenic spots such as Sanhe Peony Scenic spot and Reliu Guandi Temple under provincial protection. Guxian County city was evaluated in 2018 to re-confirm the national health county (township). In May 2019, the People's Government of Shanxi Province approved Guxian's withdrawal from the poverty-stricken county. In November 2020, Guxian County was selected as the sixth National Civilized City.
