Jidong County, under the jurisdiction of Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the western part of Jixi City, the southwest end of Wanda Mountain, and the north end of Taiping Mountain, between 130°41'06" -- 131°40'55" east longitude, 44°51'13" -- 45°41'10" north latitude. It covers an area of 3,243 square kilometers. Jidong County is located in the middle latitudes and has obvious monsoon climate characteristics. It is arid and windy in spring, mild and rainy in summer, fast cooling in autumn and early first frost, and cold and dry in winter.
