Hongze District is under the jurisdiction of Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the middle of Jiangsu Province and on the east bank of Hongze Lake. It is named after the lake because of its setting. It is located between 118 ° 28 '- 119 ° 9' E and 33 ° 02 '- 34 ° 24' N, bordering Hongze Lake in the west, facing Sihong County and Siyang County across the lake, bordering Baima Lake in the east, bordering Huai'an District, Baoying County and Jinhu County by water and land, bordering the Huaihe River inlet channel in the south, adjacent to Xuyi County, bordering the North Jiangsu Irrigation Canal in the north, and bordering Huaiyin District and Qingjiangpu District.
