Feidong County, affiliated to Hefei City, Anhui Province, is located in the central part of Anhui Province, with Chaohu City at the county level in the east, Nanjing District and Quanjiao County of Chuzhou City, Chaohu Lake in the south, Yaohai District, Baohe District and Changfeng County in the west, and Dingyuan County in the north. Between 31°34 '-- 32°16' north latitude, 117°19 '-- 117°52' east longitude, the total area of 2181.6 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 12 towns and 6 townships.
Feidong has the reputation of "the key point of Wu and Chu, the hometown of Lord Bao", the territory of Chaohu Lake, one of China's five major freshwater lakes, one of the eight scenic spots of ancient Luyang, "four top Chaoxia", and the Fucha Mountain, known as "North Nine Hua".
