Shangli County, subordinate to Pingxiang City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the west of Jiangxi Province, north of Pingxiang City, adjacent to Yichun City and Luxi County in the east, Anduan Economic Development Zone and Xiangdong District in the south, Liling City of Hunan Province in the west and Liuyang City in the north. The total area is 702 square kilometers. Shangli County has jurisdiction over 6 towns and 4 townships. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Shangli County was 469,957.
