Xingan County, which belongs to Ji 'an City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Jiangxi Province, the north of Ji 'an City and the middle reaches of Ganjiang River. It borders Fengcheng City of Yichun City and Le 'an County of Fuzhou City in the east, Yushui District of Xinyu City in the west, Fengcheng City of Yichun City and Zhangshu City in the north, and Yongfeng County and Xiajiang County in the south, with a total area of 1,248.29 square kilometers. In the 26th year of the First Emperor of Qin (221 BC), Xingan County was established under Jiujiang County. In 2000, Ji 'an area was abolished and prefecture level Ji 'an was set up, and Xingan belonged to it. Beijing-kowloon Railway, 105 National Road, Ganjiang Waterway, Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway runs through the north and south of Xingan County, and the expressway from the county to Gan-Guangdong is open to traffic for only 10 kilometers.

In 2020, the GDP of Xingan County was 17.5 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2%; the total fiscal revenue was 2.11 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9%; the investment in fixed assets of the whole society was 11.4 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8%; the ratio of the three industrial structures was 12.1:46.7:41.2.
