Penglai District/city, known as Dengzhou in ancient times, belongs to Yantai City of Shandong Province. It is located in the northeast of Shandong Province and the north of Yantai City. It is located at the north end of Jiaodong Peninsula and near the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea.
