Qufu, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jining City in Shandong Province, is the hometown of Confucius, the birthplace of the Yellow Emperor, the hometown of Shennong, the hometown of Shang Yin, the capital of Zhou, Han and Lu. It is an important birthplace of Eastern culture, known as the "Eastern Holy City", also known as the "Eastern Jerusalem". There are 14 scenic spots above 3A level within the territory. The "Three holes" scenic spot was rated as the national AAAAA level tourist attraction in 2007. In 2020, Qufu's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 36.538 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2% over the previous year at comparable prices. The value added of the primary industry was 2.795 billion yuan, up by 1.1%; The added value of the secondary industry was 11.293 billion yuan, up by 2.7%, of which the industrial added value was 7.307 billion yuan, up by 3.6%; The value added of the tertiary industry was 22.45 billion yuan, up by 3.8 percent.
