Changsha County, under the Changsha City of Hunan Province. It is located in the central part of Changsha City and the eastern part of Hunan Province, between 112°56 '15 "~ 113°36' 00" east longitude and 27°54 '55 "~ 28°38' 55" north latitude. In November 2020, it was selected into the list of the first batch of counties (cities and districts) of the Ministry of Water Resources to deepen the reform of small reservoir management system. In December 2020, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences released the "Top 100 County Economic Comprehensive Competitiveness", and Changsha County ranked the 10th.

In 2021, the GDP of Changsha County reached 200.32 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6% over the previous year.
