Jiangyou City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is administered by Mianyang City, located in the northern part of Sichuan Basin and the northern end of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic zone. It is located between 31°32 '26 "~ 32°19' 18" north latitude and 104°31 '35 "~ 105°17' 30" east longitude. The outline of the city is a strip from northeast to southwest, about 48.4 kilometers wide from east to west, about 86.6 kilometers long from north to south, and an area of 2719 square kilometers. Jiangyou city climate belongs to the north subtropical humid monsoon climate, with hot summer warm winter, summer long, abundant precipitation, rain and heat synchronization characteristics. In 2020, Jiangyou has jurisdiction over 23 towns, 1 office and 1 provincial high-tech industrial park, and the municipal government is located in Zhongba Street. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Jiangyou city was 731,343.

Eastern Han Dynasty Guangwu Emperor Jianwu first year (25 years) in today's Yanmen bar set up Deyang County. In the first two years of Emperor Xuanwu's reign (505), Jiangyou County and Jiangyou County were set up in the south dam of Pingwu County, and Longzhou County was set up in Yinping County. After repeated changes of construction and waste, Jiangyou and Zhangming counties have been inherited by generations. On September 5, 1958, The State Council decided to abolish the two counties of Jiangyou and Zhangming and merge them into Jiangzhang County, which was governed by Zhongba Town. On April 30, 1959, The State Council approved that Jiangzhang County was renamed Jiangyou County. In February 1988, The State Council approved the abolition of Jiangyou County and the establishment of Jiangyou City (county level), under the jurisdiction of Mianyang City directly under the province. In Jiangyou, Baocheng Railway runs through the whole city, Beijing-Kunming Expressway runs through the north and south, and the West-Chengdu high-speed railway and Chengmianle intercity passengers meet in Jiangyou City. Jiangyou City and Li Bai related attractions are Longxi courtyard, pink bamboo Tower, wash ink pool, grinding needle stream, etc.
