Jiuzhaigou County, subordinate to the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, is located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and in the northeast of Aba Prefecture. It borders Wen County, Zhouqu County and Diebu County in Gansu Province in the east and north, and Ruoergai County, Pingwu County and Songpan County in Sichuan Province in the west and south, with a total area of 5288 square kilometers.
