Guiting County

Guiting County, under the jurisdiction of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the middle of central Guizhou Mountains in the east of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with a total area of 1631 square kilometers. As of 2019, Guiding County has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts and 6 towns. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Guiding County was 250,146.

Guiding County is 80 kilometers away from the provincial capital Guiyang, where the main railway lines of Guizhou and Guangxi, Hunan and Guizhou, and Zhu-Liu Double Line meet in the county. Guizhou Southbound Highway of Guizhou and Guizhou New High grade passes along the county, national Highway 320, 321 and provincial Highway 304 run through the county, and Xiamar-Chengdu Highway and Gui-Guangzhou Express Railway run through the south of Guiding.

On April 24, 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's Government officially approved Guiding County's withdrawal from the poverty-stricken county list. In 2020, the GDP of the region reached 12.419 billion yuan, up by 4.2% year on year.
