Yongde County, subordinate to Lincang City, Yunnan Province, is located in the northwest of Lincang City, with a regional width of 71.5 kilometers from east to west and a length of 75.8 kilometers from north to south. The total area is 3220 square kilometers, and the mountainous area accounts for 95%. By 2019, Yongde County had jurisdiction over 3 towns and 7 townships (including 2 ethnic townships). According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent resident population of Yongde County was 328864.

Yongde County is a traditional channel along the Yunnan-Myanmar border, controlling the Nanting River in the east and the Nu River in the west. It is adjacent to Gengma Dai and Wa Autonomous County, Zhenkang County, Longling County, Shidian County, Changning County, Fengqing County and Yunxian County. The county has Dedang Town, so it is named Yongde. The climate generally belongs to the valley monsoon climate at the intersection of the subtropical and the northern tropics. The terrain is high in the southeast and west, inclined to the north, and shaped like mulberry leaves. It is the main production area of Terminalia chebula in China, the home of macadamia nuts in China, the home of mango in China, the home of Terminalia chebula in China, the national sugar base county, the provincial tea, animal husbandry, commodity grain, corn seed production base, and the natural tourism scenic spot in Yunnan Province. The main attractions include Yongde Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve, Yongde Earth Buddha, etc.

In December 2018, Yongde County was rated as the national climate symbol of climate ecology. On May 17, 2020, Yongde County officially withdrew from the poverty line. In 2021, the gross regional product (GDP) of Yongde County was 9179.57 million yuan, an increase of 8.5% year on year and an average increase of 6.1% in two years.
