Baqing County, subordinate to Nagqu City of Tibet Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Nagqu City, with Dingqing County of Qamdo City to the east, Bilu County and Suo County to the south, Nyarong County to the west, and Zado County of Qinghai Province to the north. The administrative area of the county is 9811 square kilometers. As of midnight on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Baqing County is 56,200. Baqing County is high in the north and low in the south. It is located in the upper reaches of Nujiang River and has a sub-cold and sub-humid monsoon climate on the plateau. It has two major water systems, namely the Yangtze River and Nujiang River.
