Bomi County, located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, is one of the commodity grain base counties in Tibet. It is one of the important producing areas for the export of fungi such as matsutake mushroom and morchella.
Bomi County is located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region, on the north bank of the Palong Zangbo River. It is located at 94 degrees 0007-96 degrees 3004 east longitude and 29 degrees 2106-30 degrees 4026 north latitude. The whole area is 16748 square kilometers, 318 national highway from the county center through, 636 kilometers away from Lhasa, the capital of the autonomous region, 230 kilometers away from Nyingchi City, 217 kilometers away from Changdu City Badu County. In 1959, Bomi County Committee was established. It is located in the eastern section of the northern foot of the Himalayan Mountains. For the alluvial plain, the highest peak Mingpu mountain climbing, 6118 meters above sea level.

The seat of Zamu Town, 2720 meters above sea level. The climate is mild and humid, with an average annual temperature of 8.5℃, with an average temperature of minus 0.2℃ in January and 16.5℃ in July. The annual precipitation is 900 mm. Crops mainly produce wheat, highland barley, rape, etc., is one of the commodity grain base counties in Xizang. The highest tea plantation is 133 hectares, and the tea produced is of good quality. It is also one of the important producing areas for export fungi such as matsutake mushroom and morchella.

By the end of 2019, Bomi County had a registered population of 32,665.
On September 25, 2018, it was awarded the honorary title of "2018 E-commerce into Rural Comprehensive Demonstration County" by the Ministry of Commerce. In October 2018, Bomi County was officially approved by the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region as a poverty-stricken county (district). On December 29, 2018, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission named the sixth batch of national Ethnic unity and progress demonstration zone (unit).
In 2019, the GDP of Bomi County was 2.74 million yuan, the added value of the primary industry was 286 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 925 million yuan, the general public budget revenue was 55.85 million yuan, and the general public budget expenditure was 107.117 million yuan.
