Fengxiang county/District, subordinate to Baoji City, Shanxi Province, is located in the west of Guanzhong Plain, northeast of Baoji City, 44 kilometers away from the central city of Baoji. Fengxiang District is adjacent to Qishan County and Qianyang County in the east and west, and to Chencang District and Linyou County in the north and south. It covers an area of 1,179 square kilometers.

Fengxiang, known as Yong in ancient times, is the birthplace of Zhou and Qin, the region of winning Qin and creating hegemony, and one of the Chinese Jiuzhou. According to legend, the daughter of Duke Mu of Qin Nongyu was good at playing the flute, which attracted Xiao Shi, a hermit of Huashan Mountain who was good at playing the flute. Bosom friends met and eventually got married and flew away by phoenix. In the Tang Dynasty, she took this meaning and renamed herself Fengxiang. Shanxi Province is the first announced provincial historical and cultural city. Fengxiang has a long history, the pre-qin 19 Kings in the capital in 294, the company is crown qin shi huang, Su Shichu shi. The millennium garden East Lake, the "three wonders" of Western Province, is the hometown of folk arts and crafts, and enjoys the reputation of "Hometown of Bronze Ware" and "Hometown of Xifeng Wine".

By the end of 2021, Fengxiang District has 12 towns, 160 administrative villages, 6 urban communities, 1,964 villagers groups, and a permanent resident population of 379,000. In 2021, Fengxiang District achieved a gross regional product of 26.430 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 2.962 billion yuan, the secondary industry was 14.728 billion yuan, and the tertiary industry was 8.74 billion yuan. The per capita gross regional product of Fengxiang District was 69,083 yuan based on the permanent resident population.
