Yongjing County, subordinate to Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of central Gansu Province and the north of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture. Yongjing was known as the "West Qiang" in ancient times. In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Yunwu County and Jincheng County of Jincheng County. It belonged to Hezhou and Gaolan County in the Qing Dynasty. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (March 8, 1929), it was separated from Linxia County and Gaolan County to set up Yongjing County at Lianhuabao. On August 23, 1949, Yongjing was liberated.
