Beihai, also known as "Pearl City", is a prefecture-level city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, an important node city of Beiwan City Cluster and Guangxi Beiwan Economic Zone. It is 206 kilometers to the northwest from the capital Nanning, 198 kilometers to the east from Zhanjiang, Guangdong, and 147 nautical miles to the southeast from Haikou, Hainan.
