Nyingchi region (Nyingchi Region) generally refers to Nyingchi (prefecture-level city of Xizang)
Nyingchi, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Tibet Autonomous Region, was called Gongbu in ancient times. Located in the southeast of Tibet, the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, its west and southwest are connected to Lhasa City and Shannan City respectively, west to Nagqu City Jiali County, east to Qamdo City, south part of the southern region of Tibet (occupied by India), Myanmar borders, known as Jiangnan Tibet, has the world's deepest canyon - Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon and the world's third deepest canyon Palong Zangbo Grand Canyon.

Nyingchi has beautiful scenery, and many areas are known as the "South of Tibet", including the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival, the colorful Nanyi Valley, and Metuo County and Zayu County, both known as Xishuangbanna in Tibet. Nyingchi has an average altitude of 3,100 meters and a total area of 114,870 square kilometers.
