Yancheng, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, a type II large city, and a city in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta, is located in the eastern coastal area of China. It is bordered by the Yellow Sea in the east, Nantong in the south, Yangzhou and Taizhou in the southwest, Huai'an in the northwest, and Lianyungang across the Guanhe River and Lianyungang in the north. Yancheng has a total land area of 16931 square kilometers, including 4553 square kilometers of coastal beaches. Yancheng City has become a prefecture-level city with two first class open ports, namely, airport and seaport, and is the intersection of the two major strategies of the national coastal development and the Yangtze River Delta integration.
